“We dare to see the day when homelessness and extreme poverty are banished from our society.”
--Dr. Ellen Bassuk, Center for Social Innovation Founder
The Center for Social Innovation takes on the most intractable social issues that arise from extreme poverty: homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, and trauma. We bring knowledge and science to bear on problems that others may see as hopeless.
We create new solutions and move them rapidly into the field, using evidence-based practices and state-of-the-art tools and training. We believe in the power of informed intervention to transform lives.
The people we serve:
- Individuals, families, children, veterans experiencing homelessness
- Families, children, elders in extreme poverty
- LGBTQI2-S youth who are homeless
- People living with mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS
