Creating learning communities.
Continuing advances in web-based technology offer new ways to share knowledge and foster learning. Web-based information resources and distance learning programs are core capabilities of the Center for Social Innovation. Our web-based resources feature:
- Adult Learning Concepts. Engaging content, bold graphics, and multi-media formats allow learners to encounter new information in diverse ways. Content ranges from research briefs to practice tips, blogs, and provider or consumer profiles--all designed to draw users in and illustrate critical practice concepts.
- Peer-to-Peer Interaction. Encouraging peers to connect and interact fosters a supportive learning community. Active use of social networks, user comments and ratings, discussion forums, and live webcasts encourages dialogue and enriches learning.
- Accessible and Useful Content. We test our web-based products to ensure that design and functionality meet real-world learning needs. Our training resources are fully compliant with current accessibility standards.
Every training includes a unique audience with varied skills, knowledge, and abilities. We understand and respect these differences, and use the most appropriate content and technologies to support and motivate learning.
